♦ The state-of-the-art helicopters are designed and manufactured in India by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bengaluru.
♦ Hindustan Aeronautics Limited's Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Mk III is an indigenously built multirole helicopter powered by a Shakti engine.
♦ The ALH Mk III has an all-glass cockpit with HAL's Integrated Architecture Display System (IADS) and will be used for special operations such as search and rescue and coastal surveillance.
♦ The “Shakti” (Safran Ardiden 1H1) engines power the customised Mk-III.
