11 April 2020 Current Affairs:Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) under the Ministry of AYUSH organized an international webinar on 10 April 2020 on the occasion of World Homoeopathy Day. Over 1000 participants attended the webinar on a digital platform which was also live-streamed. The webinar was addressed by Union Minister of State (I/C) AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik.

Highlights:
♦ During the meeting, the Ministry of AYUSH approved the Telemedicine guidelines for homeopathic practitioners.
♦ It emphasized on the need to mobilize the AYUSH workforce to align with the COVID-19 taskforce if the need arises.  
♦ The delegations spoke about the potentials of Homoeopathy which can be harnessed in the containment of COVID-19. Presentations on the facts about the use of adjuvant homeopathy along with standard care for COVID-patients was done in the meeting.

CCRH:
CCRH was established in 1973. It is located in New Delhi. It functions under the Ministry of Ayush. It was set up under the Central Council of Homeopathy Act 1973. The Chairman of CCRH is Shri Nilanjan Sanyal. The council was formed to monitor higher education in India.
