03 July 2021 Current Affairs:During Crop Insurance Week, the Agriculture Minister launched a Crop Insurance Awareness Campaign for the Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY).
Highlights:
♦ The Minister started the event by signaled the departure of IEC vans, which will continue to contact farmers on PMFBY throughout the crop insurance week.
♦ The Minister also published the PMBFY FAQ booklet, guidebook and e-brochure, to assist farmers and on-the-ground coordinators to understand the scheme, its benefits, and the crop insurance process.
♦ Throughout the week, the event will cover all notified areas/regions in the Kharif 2021 season, with a special focus on 75 aspirations/tribal areas.
