06 July 2021 Current Affairs:Digital payments platform PhonePe has partnered with Flipkart to launch a contactless ‘Scan and Pay’ characteristic for Flipkart’s pay-on-delivery orders. Using PhonePe’s QR code solution, the Flipkart customers who previously opted for money on transport can pay digitally via any UPI app at the time of delivery.
While on one hand, the new characteristic will help in lowering personal contact as well as make sure safety, on the different hand, it will pressure contactless payments for customers who are historically greater satisfied with money on delivery.
