About King Cobra:
♦ They are the world's most venomous snake and the longest venomous snake.
♦ Their venom is not the most effective among venomous snakes, but the amount of neurotoxin they can release in one bite—up to two tenths of an ounce—is enough to kill 20 people, even an elephant.
♦ They are the only snakes on the planet that construct nests for their eggs, which they fiercely guard until the hatchlings emerge.
♦ They are primarily found in India's rain forests and plains, as well as southern China and Southeast Asia.
♦ They thrive in a wide range of habitats, including forests, bamboo thickets, mangrove swamps, high-altitude grasslands, and rivers.

About Tillari Conservation Reserve:
♦ Tillari is the state's seventh wildlife corridor to be designated as a "conservation reserve."
♦ Tillari is a reserve located in the Western Ghats.
♦ The area covers 9 villages within the forest, known as the corridor, and even the habitat of tiger and elephant populations that move between the three states of Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
♦ It connects the Mhadei sanctuary in Goa and the Bhimgad sanctuary in Karnataka.
♦ It has a semi-evergreen forest, tropical moist deciduous forests, and a variety of rare trees, butterflies, and flowers.
