♦ The area covers 9 villages within the forest, known as the corridor, and even the habitat of tiger and elephant populations that move between the three states of Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
♦ It connects the Mhadei sanctuary in Goa and the Bhimgad sanctuary in Karnataka.
♦ It has a semi-evergreen forest, tropical moist deciduous forests, and a variety of rare trees, butterflies, and flowers.
