05 July 2021 Current Affairs:At the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, Team India 2021 received nine Grand Awards and eight Special Awards.

♦ The team received awards for innovations ranging from the discovery of genes that protect species from abiotic stress to the development of an augmented reality smart stethoscope that allows non-medical personnel to perform accurate pulmonary screening.
♦ The innovations were created by young students.
♦ The 26 winners of the STEM Research and Innovation Program-IRIS National Expo formed the "India Team" and participated in Regeneron ISEF.
♦ They competed against 1833 aspiring scientists from 64 countries, regions, and territories around the world and won 17 awards.
